Practice Manager

Maya Kageyama provides administrative and logistical support to the C4H capacity building team. Maya has a B.A. from Hampshire College, where she studied Health Equity and Nutritional Anthropology. She is currently a Master of Public Health candidate at University of San Francisco.

Maya’s interest in public health stems from the inequalities she witnessed growing up in rural Northern California. She spent several summers interning at a local Public Health Department, where she coordinated environmental health education and youth health advocacy programming. After moving to Western Massachusetts, Maya provided administrative support to the Five College Consortium Culture, Health and Science Program, a liberal arts alternative to traditional undergraduate public health programs. Maya’s interest in health equity and food justice brought her to Japan, where she learned about organic agricultural systems, and eventually back to California, where she worked in the Fair Trade chocolate industry. She has experience providing programmatic support to a vast diversity of nonprofits, including the performing arts, holistic health, international language, and radio.
