Adrian Neil Jr. serves as a program manager of capacity building for the Fund for Resilience Equity and Engagement (F.R.E.E) and the Strengthening Integrated Approaches in the Midwest Initiative. An 11-year history in working in HIV has resulted in a people focused leadership style that comes from a history of coordinating local and state programs, designing and implementing leadership trainings, leading teams to develop strategies to reduce new cases of HIV, and working with health care providers and government leaders to engage communities in wholistic healthcare, develop policies that reduces barriers to care, reduce and stigma and encourages education.

Adrian enjoys identifying and/or building up capacities of organizations to execute a vision. He also enjoys working with communities and healthcare providers to develop and implement realistic visions in an effort to not only reduce new HIV infections but to address the intersectionalities of HIV such as mental health, race, homophobia, etc. He enjoys challenges and supporting individuals and institutions with social justice motivations and foundations. A demonstrated ability to support teams and institutions in building capacity to improve services, Adrian is known for his creativity, innovative approaches and having a people centered and innovative programming mindset. His ability to promote awareness, accountability and organizational advancement are skills that he is also known for.

Adrian’s goal is to change the mindset, attitudes, and general behavior patterns of the communities, inclusive of organizations’ tasked with serving communities, around him about HIV. He also believes in addressing other disparities that marginalized communities face such as poverty, racism, homelessness, and more.

Adrian is a St. Louis native who completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio University with a concentration in dance and choreography. Outside of work, Adrian teaches contemporary modern, hip hop, ballet and heels, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and eating good food. Adrian currently resides in Dallas, Texas.
