Online Training: Intermediate Data Management and Analysis Series, Module 1 – Intermediate Data Management

This is part one of a two-part series that moves beyond the basics to address practical skills for more complex data management and analysis. This module covers Intermediate Data Management techniques including: managing diverse data sources, ensuring data confidentiality, unique ID matching, using data codebooks, and tricks for managing data using Microsoft Excel.

This online training module is appropriate for participants who already have a basic understanding of, and comfort with, managing and analyzing simple program data and have basic familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Excel. (For interested participants who do not have these suggested prerequisites, we highly recommend completing the Basic Data Analysis Online Training prior to participating in this intermediate level online training module.) Make sure to also check out part two of this series: Intermediate Data Analysis, which covers topics such as: analysis of continuous versus categorical data, creating variable “flags”, and using pivot tables. This online training is accompanied by an Intermediate Data Management and Analysis information sheet.
