HIV Fundamentals E-Learning Course

Successfully onboarding new staff and volunteers requires time, skill, and care from managers and coordinators. Our CBA Provider Network (CPN) partner at the Community Impact Solutions Project produced this self-paced e-learning course to help your new staff gain fundamental HIV knowledge. This course is also valuable for current staff who may need more medical and scientific information about transmission and treatment.

Here’s a description about the course from Community Impact Solutions:

The course is intended for frontline staff, outreach workers, case managers, prevention educators, patient navigators, peer leaders, and program managers working in HIV prevention and care. It is also appropriate for administrators, board members, consumer advisory board members, and other volunteers or staff members of CBOs and ASOs. Participants should have a good written command of English and have high competence and comfort with computer and Internet use.

The goal of this course is to provide an in-depth review of issues related to HIV transmission and prevention and in the HIV prevention and care program setting. Specifically participants will learn the necessary foundational information to perform their roles in the HIV prevention workforce as they complete each step in the course.
